Ashill Developments is pleased to let you know that following extensive consultation with the local community we have now submitted a detailed planning application to transform the existing rundown site with a high quality residential scheme featuring a mix of houses and apartments.

We have carefully reviewed all the feedback to understand what people liked about the scheme and where their concerns lay. To address these concerns we have now submitted a scheme that has been amended to respond to as many of the comments raised as possible. The submitted proposals include:

  • 24 new family houses, five of which will be affordable homes, featuring a mix of three and four bedroom homes
  • 34 high quality apartments, 21 of which will be affordable homes, featuring a mix of one, two and three bed apartments
  • 86 car parking spaces, including nice disabled spaces, with semi basement parking for the apartments and surface and car port parking to serve the houses
  • vehicle access gained from both Somerset Road and Elmtree Road, with the closure of the existing surplus access points
  • A reduction in morning and evening peak hour traffic generation when compared against the site's potential existing use
  • An attractive landscaped development which features a communal central green
  • A sustainable development incorporating various energy efficiency initiatives
  • Financial contributions towards education, health, transport and open space facilities for use locally
